How long before a company can sue. It has only been two weeks since i defaulted on my loans and i already have companies telling me they are going to sue me.

For the ones that are illegal do i tell them i know they are illegal on the phone when they call
Do i tell them over the phone that i will not pay anymore than the principle. What if they keep calling me after i pay off the principle.

I have two legit CSO companies that i must pay off first, so it will be a while before i can pay the others off.

I am dealing with Ace cash express and check n go. They keep telling me that i must pay them off all at once, but i lost my job and don't have the money right now. They call up to 10 times a day. I need to set them up on payment plans but the are not willing to wait until i get any money. They want it now. I told them i would try to give them a little bit, but i wanted to make sure that it went towards the balance that i owe and they just kept saying to go and get a prepaid credit card and call them back with the credit card number. I explained to them that i would only be able to pay them a little bit right now but they keep calling.

The legal payday loan companies can sue you for non-repayment of debts. However, lenders usually don't sue consumers within 2 weeks of loan default. If the illegal payday loan lenders harass you even after the payment of the principal, then register a complaint with State attorney General. If Ace and Check n Go are legal in your state, then you can go for payday loan consolidation or settlement and repay the debts.
