well for one nobody can do what they are threatening that fast.so instead file a police report as the threats are illegal.next use any info you have to file AG,and FTC complaints.above all else do not pay them.you did the right thing in not paying a voice on the phone and yes they could have gotten that info anywhere.so again file reports and complaints against this place.also send them a DV letter certified mail return receipt.a letter proves nothing.make them validate.

I just wanted to help you with your situation. I received a similar phone call from this so-called collection agency today. I can truly say that they are BOGUS. The representative informed me that charges would be brought against me for check fraud if I didn't pay them over $1,000 by the end of this month. He claimed that I was negligent on a pay-day loan that was taken out in 2007. I asked him to forward me documentation confirming this supposed negligence, via email. To my surprise, the email was a "Gmail" account, and the signature had their company's name misspelled. Please do not pay ANYTHING to this company. I would also report them to the Better Business Bureau.

Do not pay these people
I am a debt collector. My office is actually in possession of the chain of title to a debt for a consumer that was contact by this Doc Servicing Inc. For one the name "doc servicing" is a tactic to make it seem like they "serve" legal documents and enforce debt. It is a tactic and a scam. They are not serving anybody. They don't even own the debt.
DO NOT PAY THESE PEOPLE.
Do yourself a favor and follow the chain of title. Call the original creditor and ask where the account was sold and so on. eventually you will be led to the company that current owns the debt. That will be the company that have all rights to your obligation.
I'm not saying that they might not actually have owned debt or should give collection agencies a hard time about it or use it as an excuse not to pay your bills. What I'm saying is if your contacted about a bill, you should politely ask for proof of the debt as in a letter with the original creditor and account number and then call and verify with the original creditor it was sold and forwarded to the individuals who are contacting you. ~Tyler~ :o
geez
so if a humanoid breaks the law(and stating they are a process server when they are not is illegal)they should give it credence.GIVE ME A BREAK!the FDCPA exists for a reason pal.btw nobody here condones,or advises people on how to"not pay debt"okay.now you can get back to the phones as your post was idiotic.
