I think the person who called you at work is a scammer. The person is trying to scare you so that you make the payments. You won't be arrested at the work. Next time when he calls you, let him know that its a 1 to contact others and inform them about your debt situation. Moreover, you should also ask him to validate the debt in order to prove that he or his company owns your debt. Do not make any payments to him unless he validates the debt.

well sherilyn you are right as this is a scammer.however the OP and everyone called by this idiot needs to file a police report as the law was broken hand over fist by the idiot.then i would only talk to this "person"to state you and all they called have filed police reports and will not even acknowledge them until you receive something in writing.otherwise it's a waste of time as the OP won't be arrested and the idiot who called only wants to scare money out of them.if they have to resort to such blatant illegalities then i guarantee they can't/won't be able to validate a thing.i do have a question.op is there a number you have on your caller id?maybe we can get some more info from that.

I agree with everything paulmergel said; sad to say, a lot of PDL's share their customers' personal informaton. Just curious, what PDL company did you get a loan from, what State do you live in, and are they still withdrawing money from your account? If it were me, I'd keep a VERY close eye on my checking account if these scammers have your personal information.
