I have multiple internet PDL's at this time. I cannot manage to pay all of them. My account is overdrawn at this time. The bank will not stop the ACH debits. What do I do?

Google Electronic Funds Transfer Act. Go to Section 907. "
?? 907. Preauthorized transfers
(a) A preauthorized electronic fund transfer from a consumer's account may be authorized by the consumer only in writing, and a copy of such authorization shall be provided to the consumer when made. A consumer may stop payment of a preauthorized electronic fund transfer by notifying the financial institution orally or in writing at any time up to three business days preceding the scheduled date of such transfer. The financial institution may require written confirmation to be provided to it within fourteen days of an oral notification if, when the oral notification is made, the consumer is advised of such requirement and the address to which such confirmation should be sent."

I would speak to the branch manager, or go higher up, and tell them they are in violation as you've attempted to have these ACHs stopped. You should have sent the pdls notification of ACH withdrawal and kept copies for the bank, showing them that you've rescinded them. The bank is obligated to stop them under this regulation. Sometimes you have to educate bank employees. You may have to print a copy of the regulation and show them.

If you haven't sent e-mails, faxes or letters to the pdls you won't have any proof for the bank that you've rescinded authorization.

Thank you. I have got 11 PDL's right now and have sent them e-mails revoking there ACH withdrawals. The bank actually covered the withdrawals and now I have a negative balance of $1800.00 in my checking account. I stopped my direct deposit already. Three of the internet PDL's have taken out a total of $1100.00 each and I only got $400.00 from them originally.
