Nationwide (Direct Financial/Quick PayDay)

They gave me my old address and an old employer. Said pay them that amount, gave me no option to dispute, no DUN statement, nothing. Told me pay now or they could file service against me within a few hours.
A few things stood out:
-- No option to dispute
-- Past SOL
-- No "This is an attempt to collect a debt."
And so on. Guy basically told me since I'm refusing to pay now that they will file service. Of course, they are also going to be filing improper service, since they are going to serve at the wrong address and/or wrong employer -- if they serve at all.
If they serve, I will be able to file an SOL challenge and a venue challenge. Nevermind, failure to follow FDCPA, so I might be able to counter.
Any suggestions.

Don't pay any money to them without getting the debt validation letter from them. Sound like an empty threat. Don't pay any money just because they have told you to do so.

Yeah, they ended up calling again at 7:30 a.m. (obviously not a smart thing to do). Gave me the same message as the first time about needing to verify my address so they can serve me, that it's my last chance. They also are using the lingo about being the Mediation Firm. Seems like it's all scare tactics and empty threats, which in itself is another no-no.

Another call, this time at 7:40 a.m. Same message. Funny they say that they can't serve me until I call them and verify my address (home and work). I had already called and they had the wrong address info in both cases. They still call. At wrong times.

WOW, i am amazed i wasn't the only one. The same thing happen to me on 22nd of May, they told me if i didn't make a payment i was committing fraud and will be served within days, they refused to give me there address saying by law they are not authorized to do that.Well that is a bunch of B.S. Is there anyway to prosecute these people, because technically they did commit fraud by using your identity to collect money for a false claim.. Anyone?
