CSO's in FL

It look like the CSO loophole in FL has been closed. Accourding to the Office of Financial Regulation in was closed in 2008 when they filed an administrative action against EZCORP alleging that the Florida business model used in the eleven EZMONEY stores was in violation of the state usury law. On March 25, an administrative law judge recommended that the Office of Financial Reglation issue a cease and desist order against EZMONEY's credit services operations (CSO) in Florida. This was issued on June 12 by the Office of Financial Regulation and a requested stay by EZCORP was denied on June 16 by the First District Court of Appeal. According to the Office of Finacial Regulation this rulling still stands and the CSO payday model is no longer legal in the state of FL.
