Hi

Has anyone heard of National Management Partners (They did not identify themselves so I tracked them down via their phone. 855-824-7937)? They called my mother yesterday regarding a payday loan that was taken out years ago (just before the recession). They said that they had a matter regarding a bounced check and possible bank fraud. When my mother called, they basically treated that they would file charges for defrauding financial institution. We have no qualms about repaying the loan but I found their tactic a bit brash. Is this legal? Has anyone ever heard of this outfit? I looked up their website and it has hardly any info on it. She contacted the FTC for verification but that may take a few days.

Been a long day, hit the wrong replay button. Thank you so much for your reply paulmergel. We have submitted a complaint with the FTC and we are working on the others.

this place is bottomfeeding scum.nobody can use the criminal process to collect on a debt.especially a pdl,and if it's online chances are great it wasn't legal so your mom needs to file a police report as the call broke the law hand over fist.btw she and you need to file complaints with the FTC.at www.ftc.gov.again this is not a legit anything much less collector report and ignore.
