I have several payday loans and, thanks to this website, I'm currently getting out from under them. However, $300.00 showed up in my checking account a couple of months ago and the company listed itself as GFG Serv. My bank was able to give me a phone number, but it belongs to an Internet pdl company that has confirmed they did not deposit the money. I've googled GFG services and can't find anything applicable. Now this place is debiting $135 out of my account. Anyone know who they are? Thanks for all help.

You haven???t mentioned the name of your state. At first, you need to check whether or not payday lending is legal in your state. After that, you should find out whether or not internet payday loan is legal in your state. If it is legal, then you will have to pay the principal amount including interests and other fees. Otherwise, you will be liable only for principal amount. GFG Services is a collection agency. To know more about this company, glance through the following link:

Hi. I am the original poster of this question. I didn't post the name of my state or anything because I've already researched the pdl laws in my state and I already know that my pdl's are illegal in my state. I closed my bank account this morning and my letters will go out tomorrow. I've way overpaid my pdl's.......a couple in the thousands for a $300 loan. I am in KY and we are only permitted to use storefront pdl companies here and our state does not permit any paying of interest and rolling over of the loans as well. I should be in good shape.

Thanks for the info about Greenlight Funding. I will try to get in touch with them and make sure they get a letter as well.

Love this website....very informative.
