I got in the mail 2 weeks ago a collection notice for Sure Advance that I still owe them 396.49 even though as of 8-19-11 they have withdrawn from my account 438.56 and the principal was only 400. Since Sure Advance is not licensed or registed in the state of Texas how should i go about this collection notice. It does state if i want to dispute proof of this debt to give them written notice, should i just sent them a letter explaining that this loan was not a legal loan and i have already paid more than the principle to these people and request a paid in full letter?
texas resident took out some loans with united cash, insight capital, sure advance, instant loan, ameriloan and spot on loans all have overcharged me pass the principle. They refuse to stop overdrawning the checking account and chase refuses to do anything about it. They did finally start to reject their transactions this week but has left me in negative balance of $1,322 the last time i checked. I got a letter from chase letting me know i need to bring account current or will charge me $30 dollars to write off account to collection. Now i did try to bring account to a zero to have more transactions hit the account the next day and the way chase works is i go down and zero it out they make you wait till the next day to close it so i just thought that is just a vicious cycle to go down to put account to zero to have payday loan companys hit it again so i have stopped putting any money in that account. I honestly would of loved to have a clean record with chase but its impossible so do you think its best i let them write it off before i try and make payment plans with them. I mean regardless they are going to send me to chexsystems right?:(

You owe only the principal amount to the illegal payday loan lenders in Texas. Ameriloan is not legal in the country only. You should ask Instant Loan USA, Ameriloan, Spot on Loans, Go Cash and Sure Advance to refund the extra money they have debited from your account.

I was getting ready to email Go Cash and was looking over their website and actuaully found out that they are registered as a cso in texas under:
Go Cash - TX, LLC so i 'll have to see what i owe and make arrangments with them

It will be a good option to contact them and set up a payment plan. This will not only help you in paying off the debt in an easier and affordable manner but you will also be able to get rid of the debt. Moreover, paying off the debt will have a positive impact on your credit report.
please refrain
since pdl's don't report on your credit how can it effect it in the negative if it doesn't help in the positive?please refrain from posting for the sake of posting prompet.btw since all but one are illegal the OP only owes the principle and anything debited before default gets deducted from that.a little vital info that the OP needs as that way they only pay what they really owe.not what the illegal pdl says/thinks they owe.
yes you do
yes send a letter stating the loan was not legal.include your state laws with it for further proof.send the letter certified mail return receipt.yes this debt should be marked PIF,and you may need to get your AG involved as well.just know that the illegals will fight you on their legality, but if they are not licensed in any way they are illegal.period.don't let them sway you with lies as that is all you get from illegal lenders.lies.
