Well, here we go. I sent my email to Cash on Wheels explaining that I paid my origional loan of $550 in full and have over paid by $596. I demanded a refund but I probably won't see it. I used the form letter here but couldn't find laws for PA so I left that part out. I can take the harrassing calls to my cell but I hope they leave me alone at work. Eeek. I'm afraid they are going to call non-stop!

I just realized I never added interest or fee that I should pay when requesting a refund. If I borrowed $550 in PA, what should I have paid back? I have already paid them $1146 so WAY over paid. I know I won't see a refund but I feel like an idiot requesting $596 back b/c I didn't incorporate a fee that I should have to pay for their service.

You didn't mention it in your posts, have you closed your checking account or at least put it on deposit only status? If not, if it were me, I'd do that as soon as possible. When you go to close your account, speak to the bank manager and explain the situation. A stop payment or ACH stop might not be effective, as so many of these companies operate under several different names. Please keep us posted.

Thank you all for your support. Yes, I closed my checking account. I have another checking account at a different bank and last week I had my employer direct deposit my pay. Now, I'm playing the waiting game. I'm glad this was my only PDL. So easy to fall into their trap during these tough economic times.
