Need to send a proper 'do not call' notice when collector has not provided an address?

[LEFT][FONT=Courier][SIZE=1]There is a debt collector leaving automated recorded messages on my telephone answering machine. No one here owes any debt or has any bad credit, and we suspect it is about someone who had the telephone number before we moved here. They have never sent a bill to anyone here. There is nothing in writing telling us who this collector is, or what it is about. Calling the number back does not connect to a person, either. [/LEFT]

Please ignore the advice above. They obviously didn't read your post. Please tell us the name of the collector who's calling you and we will help you find an address and/or phone number so you can contact the collector and also send a written cease and desist letter.

Savion, how exactly do you expect the poster to send a C&D if they have no address? Your answer was not helpful.

This is bad advice. The poster should first obtain an address and send a C&D to the collector. Filing a complaint should only be done if the collector is violating the FDCPA.
