Maryland East Side Lenders Update

Been in touch with MD Office of the Commissioner of Financial Regulation regarding East Side Lenders. A settlement agreement is being ironed out between attorneys. The draft terms of the agreement will stop East Side Lenders from operating, collecting or selling any of the Maryland accounts. Also requires that they have any credit report notations removed. They will no longer offer loans in MD. They will receive a penalty and there will be restitution in some form for every Maryland consumer that has taken out a loan from them within the last couple of years. The agreement is expected to be signed shortly. Hope this gives hope to all that illegal payday lenders will not be tolerated. :sun:

Thanks for the update; for anyone in Maryland who's having PDL problems, I would strongly suggest you contact the MD Commission for Financial Regulation, they are a GREAT help. Between them and THIS great site, you too can be PDL-free!
