please help! closing bank account in Texas tomorrow!

I have to close my bank account in Texas. My account was recently compromised and money stolen from it. The theft caused my account to get overdrawn and remain that way while the bank investigates the matter. I am also in a financial crisis with both a mortgage payment and my payday loans coming due on the same day. Three are store front and three are online. One of the online ones is illegal, but the others as far as I know are not. I get paid tomorrow (Friday) and since my account will no longer be overdrawn I simply must close the account. The payday things are due Monday. I fully intend to pay these loans off and make payment arrangements with these places. Can someone please tell me what the laws are in Texas about closing bank accounts? I have been reading that it is a criminal offense in some states and that scares the crap out of me.
