So greatful I have found this site! It has helped me start to get my life back on track without payday loans!!

I have followed the advise, and written letters, and so far so good. I wrote a letter to Target Cash Now (the only vendor where I have overpaid) and received a response, and I'm not sure what I should do from here.

Lender Name: Targetcashnow

How you obtained the loan: Internet

What state you live in: New Jersey

Total deposited $540

Total Debited $700

I sent a letter as suggested by this forum. Here was their response:

Hello Angela ,

We are in receipt of your letter dated June 25th, 2014 regarding your account and have reviewed your concerns carefully in an attempt to resolve this matter. As clearly indicated in its website disclaimers and the loan documents executed by you, Target Finance, LLC (the “Company”) is a wholly owned and operated entity of the Fort Belknap Indian Community (the “Tribe”) that is located on the Fort Belknap Reservation of Montana (the “Reservation”). We are a federally recognized tribal entity and therefore, the activities of Target Finance, LLC. are not subject to licensing by any state and are immune from any state investigation or enforcement actions.

Per your request all ACH activity has been stopped. However, there is still a balance owed on your account. This loan was extended to you in good faith and in accordance with the terms and conditions agreed to in your signed contract. All terms, fees and conditions are clearly stated in your loan application and acknowledged by your execution thereof.

At the present time, your account shows you have an outstanding balance of $487.50 , and have not made any payments to your principal or renewal fee.

Please forward the remaining outstanding balance of $487.50 by cashiers or certified check to our address below within seven (7) business days:

Target Finance, LLC
PO Box 581
Hays, MT 59527

If you do not have the funds available, please contact customer service at 877-334-9416 and we will work with you on setting up a payment plan to pay off the balance due. Unfortunately, if we do not receive your remaining principal payment or a follow up call from you by the end of the 7 days we will be forced to resume normal collections.

We hope that we have answered your concern, but we would be happy to talk with you should you have further questions.

This is an attempt to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose.

Respectfully,

Target Finance, LLC dba Target Cash Now

I am not sure how to respond? I honestly don't care about the refund, I just want to be done with the company.

Any help would be great!!

respond this way:

well that was a long drawn out bunch of hooey.no tribal lenders is legal, and since you got 700.00 on a 540.00 loan you are gettng nothing further.any attempts to contact further will be reported to the FTC,AND MY AG.if you pass it on to a scumeating bottomfeeder they will be reported as well.again you are getting nothing further, and your tribal assretions are laughable so let it go.

respond that way verbatim.

In their letter they state that they are not subject to licensing by any state and are immune from any state investigation or enforcement actions...I guess they have not seen or heard anything about Western Sky who thought the same thing!
