While many of you know that I myself climbed out of online payday loan hell early last year.. I have yet to defeat the legal lenders here in AZ that fall under registration loans, well this is the year for that.. I have or will be this week be defaulting on them as well.. I have learned that even though they are all but one registration loans that is really no different than a personal loan.. there is no real security behind them.

I have shut down my chase account and opened an account at a different location! I have changed my number and informed my references that they are free to tell them I have died... We do not have the vehicle that was used on any of them any longer any way.

I will keep you informed on the progress - I am sure that at least one or two of them will sue for garnishment of wages - I am prepared for that - but the 25% that AZ allows is still less than they are eating of my pay now...

One of them I am waiting to see what they do - Money Mart - it is purely a pay and redo on pay day... Still to me a payday loan and I am sure that the courts will agree.. Since no other information other than pay stub is taken in to consideration.

Say a small prayer for me and I will update as can!! I am sure others are in these types of loans and just too scared to try to stop them...

One of the smaller lenders was very understanding - told me to call them in 2 weeks and we'll work out a plan - maybe can take care of with taxes - she is going to even make sure to not charge me a late fee... They won't all be this easy - but nice to see that being a good customer for so long has some merit.. :)

Thank you Bingonut!!..
Revocation letters are sent out to them as of today... if they try to open my old account want proof that I told them not to... can use in counter claim...
Ace & Speedy have already confirmed receipt and compliance..

Taking care of these this year - then scrub credit next year....

OK today was the day., they could not get anything!! I heard from one that they will send to bank - even though I revoked ACH and they know the acct is closed - then will send to collection - I will have the option of making a payment arrangement. I guess that will work if it is one that I feel I can live with.. Chase confirmed with me last week that they account was closed with default setting to not let anything force it open - we shall see...

I'm so glad I'm not the only one stuck in registration loan hell!! I also have a loan with Speedy Cash and I'm curious as to what you sent/told them about the loan you have with them. My biggest fear is the threat of repossession - do they give notice when they repossess or will I just wake up one day and my car will be gone? Any help is appreciated and good luck!

@ Marine Mama - who else do you have and what state are you in? From what I understand - registration loans can not be repossessed..They are not the primary lien holder - They can only try to place a 2nd lien on the vehicle title.. With Speedy I was due on the 23rd of Jan - I have only received a letter from them dated the 26th - reminding me that I have missed a payment and how to correct..- They threaten that due to title loans they can repossess - but a title loan is not the same as a registration loan -- I'll update as I hear more.. I am pretty sure they will eventually sue to garnish wages..

Thought I would give quick update - Nothing has basically been going on with most..
Loan Mart - After finally sent me email - offered 4 payments - I could swing right now.. that was in Feb - so holding pattern there - however - they have messaged me on Facebook with I think is totally unethical... $1098.14 owed

Am 1st Financial - Final Notice before Attorney - that was on 24th of Feb..$535.00 owed at time of default

Check into Cash - no kind of communication at all.. $381.82 owed at time of default

1 Stop - No communications - I am pretty sure they will go for garnishment eventually - $1500.00

Ace Cash Express - one letter of being late on the 2nd of Feb - $1147.95

Speedy - late letter 1/26, notice of default and right to cure letter 2/4 last date for payment 2/14, and then notice of default and requirement for strict compliance letter 3/2.. giving me until 4/1 to pay late amounts.. Not completely sure on balance.. they did some sketchy things.

Tio Rico - Auto Now Financial - Well they have been the most aggressive.. emails now in writing they gave me until the 22nd of March to come up with plan.. then they sent me a notice of intent to litigate.. then they sent some guy out posing as a repo guy on the 11th of March - telling me 24 hours to respond - haven't seen him again.. Figured out that they illegally put a lien on the vehicle used as collateral and back dated it.. - so have investigation on file at present with title fraud department. owing at present $520.53
Now keep in mind sold said vehicle in Oct - there were no liens other that the finance company on at time.. so not sure what they are going to repo!!

Loan Mart/Money Mart Update - filed complaint with Consumer Protection Bureau on being contacted via Facebook - then the person came back and thanked me for the complaint - at least I know they got it.. They have until the 28th to respond to first complaint - so waiting to see and then I will ask why contacted again after complaint was filed...?
