I am in over my head with PDL and would love some advice. I am able and willing to pay back the principal for all loans (over time), but the interest and fees are keeping me from getting out from under these and at least half my paycheck is gone each payday with just interest and fees..

Magnum Cash Advance - $1500

Ameriloan - $400

Plain green Loans - $800

Cashcall - $1600

1. I'd like to close my bank account and contact the lenders to work out payment of the principal balance. But I am worried about their ability to garnish my wages if I do this - can they garnish without going to court and getting a judgment against me?

2. I know PDLs are legal in Tennessee but none of these lenders are licensed there. Does that make the loans illegal automatically?

3. Are Plain Green and Cashcall even considered PDLs? They call themselves "installment loans" so will PDL laws not apply to them?

Thanks for your help and advice.

For Cashcall - I applied to Western Sky but even before the loan was approved/finalized, it was transferred/assigned to Cashcall so all my documents have Cashcall on them. Legal or no?
