I have been getting calls from a regional arbitration services saying I owe on a payday loan from 2003. I called advance america and they said it was sold to MLA Holdings and gave me their number. I called them, but I only got a recording. The debt was for 167.00 arbitration wants 577.00. Regional arbitration services couldn't tell me when the debt was made. Just that it went delinquent in dec. Of 2007. Is this a scam or should I deal with these people? Help!
1)owing a pdl is not a crime, and most if not all states prohibit criminal action for a pdl.
2)this place has a website, and it's an effing joke.no real contact info and although they claim to have offices in every state(yeah right)there is no search feature.just an 888,and an 800 number.no address.btw i'm in IL,and they have no office there.
file police reports for the illegal threats, and ignore them from now on.they are just another piece of garbage bottomfeeder that uses illegal threats to collect on ipdl's.
