"Internet lenders can lend legally to PA residents as long as they are licensed in another state. They would need to follow the laws of the state in which they are licensed."
Does this still apply? I'm confused now.

Correction about the OneClickCash loan, the amount I paid back was $320.00 on the $300.00 loan.
However, $50.00 of that was toward the principal and $270.00 was toward the "Loan Renewal Fee". Is there a way around that?

I sent my first ACH revocation letter to Great Plains Lending since that's the next one that's due. I put a something in the letter about Pennsylvania Supreme Court Case Cash America Net of Nevada, LLC v. Pennsylvania, No. 68 MAP 2009 in my letter. Do you think that'll help.
I've heard other people here have sent letters to Great Plains Lending and haven't gotten a response from them.

I guess mentioning the Pennsylvania Supreme Court case in my letter was enough to scare 'em.
great plains lending in massachusetts?
Hi, I recently got a loan from great plains lending and I'm living in the state of massachusetts. They want me to pay back around 448% of the $500.00 loan. Is this legal? they keep calling my work and asking for my supervisor or even hanging up when people answer. What can be done about this? How can I get them to stop calling me and also calling my work? I have a feeling this loan type I've gotten from them is illegal.

Payday lending in MA is illegal. You are only morally obligatetd to pay back the original amount borrowed, no interest/fees. On this site, click on Forums, then click on payday loan help, then click on sticky on how to deal with illegal lenders. Follow every step. You may also want to inform your co-workers, boss, etc. that you are a victim of a scam and will be receiving these calls and to just ignore.

From my experience with Mobiloans if you make them aware of the situation and send them a letter stating they are illegal and you will only pay the principle borrowed they will apply the money paid thus far to the principle amount and make a payment arrangement with you for any outstanding balance on the principle only... They are pretty easy to work with...
