This is a little off the subject of what most of the posts on here are about, but I was wondering if anyone has had to ask for financial help from family to get out the payday loan cycle. I am pretty much at my wit's end with this and I need to get my (legal) payday loans paid off and I can't handle the stress from the harassment from collectors anymore. I can't pay my regular bills let alone the payday loans. I have been offered settlement agreements for some, but I still don't have the money to pay them. I am going to need to ask to borrow money from my parents, but I don't really know how to explain to them how I got into this mess in the first place. I don't have any excuses other than I'm bad with money. They have perfect credit and I was warned about payday loans growing up, so they won't understand. I know they will help me, but I don't know how to approach this. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Any advice?

I live in Kansas. I know that all of my loans are legal. Here's the list:

Check N Go: I owe $585 (defaulted), was offered settlement of $460
Speedy Cash: I owe $570.50 (defaulted)
Ace Cash Express: I owe $585 (defaulted), was offered settlement of $340
Check into Cash: I'm currently in a EPP to pay off balance of $402.50, still have $301 to pay
Cashnet USA: I owe $1077.41(defaulted)
Checksmart: I owe $345 (current)

I have run out of options and I don't have any extra money in the month to be able to put towards paying these damn things off. I'm behind on my regular bills as it is. And I don't trust any consolidation companies.
