I just contacted one of mine that I am past due on the 90.00 interest on a 300.00. They said I could make 5 payments of 126.00 = 630.00. I told them that I just found out that NJ prohibits these loans. Next email from them was "please pay only the principal in two payments".

Try this it works. I have done it with others in the past and some have just said "PAID IN FULL".

I had one with NOU last year - I kept paying interest and when I was late they tried to take out the principal in one payment from my checking - my bank rejected it because I didn't have enough (they tried 300.00 twice in one day). I went to the bank and told them to stop allowing these to come through - the manager said she couldn't but called NOU at her desk and spoke to one of the agents. I said I would call them from my desk and when I called them back they told me they would mark my account PAID IN FULL.

sorry for the many responses, but for one of yours (i can't say which one, I signed that I would never mention their name anywhere). I told them I paid too much in interest and I lived in NJ and the women got back on the phone and said PAID in FULL.

both of these companys are being sued for scamming thousand of people and in some states are not illegal to run i took out a 400.00 dollar loan and was scammed out of 2,800.00 dollars and they kept telling me you have to pay the insterest. and they run my checking account into the ground i could not even afford to pay my other bills they took the last 50.00 out of my checking and when i told them there was no more money they called very day some time 3 to4 times and they still do and they trheat me and and tell me they are going to come to house and my job and throw me in jail . call your Attorney general and FBI (CSI) and file a report. now close out your checking accounts and cancel your credit account if they have the number and contact the credit companies.
