Hi Everyone,
Thank you so much for this forum and all of your great advice. I have been sending the letters out. In a previous post.. I posted the response from Plain Green they accepted my payment arrangements for the remaining principal amount only :)

Now, I received a response back from creditprotection depot for mycashnow... it's a basic letter stating that they are willing to settle the account for the principal amount of the loan.

However, what I was trying to do was apply previous loan with them. I borrowed 550.00 from them, then paid back $1,002.77 with all interest, rollover fees, etc. Then reborrowed 620.00, and I have not made any new payments towards the 620.00.

I was trying to combine them and say the principal amount due would be $167.23. Is this right? Any advice/suggestions would be appreciated!!

Also, has anyone had any success when dealing with them?

Thanks Again!!

I'm glad Plain Green decided to play ball and allow you to repay the principal only. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the method they start to use now in order to work out settlements with the states where they have violated consumer protection laws. At some point someone has to tell these tribes that engaging in illegal loan activity using contracts that are just as racist as they are predatory does nothing to uphold the rich history they have and only paints them in a negative light. I don't know what bug crawled up someone's rear that they felt robbing people of their hard earned dollars was a good business model but I hope our government can step up to the plate and stop this shady practice once and for all.
