The situation that has arised is I have PDL's due to come out of my account starting from tomorrow. I have already revoked my ACH authorization from them but they have not responded to the letters or e-mails or faxes. I put a NO DEBIT STATUS on my account today. Due to pending transactions in my account they cannot close my account today and tomorrow the PDL companies are going to try to debit my account.

I was assured that with this NO DEBIT STATUS on my account nothing can be debited. My question is though once they try to debit my account tomorrow and it does not go through how long after that transaction will they try to debit my account again? I need a 24 hour window to remove the status and close my account permanently.

My bank stated that if I close my account it will happen over night not immediately and I don't want to take the risk of removing the status and while trying to close the account overnight the company debits the account... HELP PLEASE!!!!! I need some advice!!!!

These PDLs do not need to acknowledge the ACH revocation in writing and most choose to ignore them and debit your account. What you basically need to do is send a copies of the ACH revocation letters you sent to the lenders to your bank as well. That would be good enough to protect your account. After that, let them try to debit your account all they want and you can take your own sweet time to close your bank account.

I am the same person who asked the question above. I live in Florida and the companies I took out the loans for are listed below:

US Fast Cash - Borrowed $300 paid $735
500FastCash - Borrowed $300 paid $90
Archer Direct - Borrowed $300 paid $90
Discount Advances - Borrowed $1500 paid $2014.04

All were online payday loans... I have sent all of them letters revoking ACH Authorization and Wage Garnishment. I got a response back from Archer Direct and she states that they are not going to put the $90 paid towards the principle and that I owe $390. I have tried reaching out to the processors as well and they tell me their is nothing they can do to help me even though I revoked ACH Authorization.

I really need help! I don't know what more to do. As persistent as I am with them they will not budge. I haven't even heard back from US Fast Cash, 500FastCash or Discount Advances. I sent them e-mails, faxes and certified letters and no response.

All the lenders you listed are illegal in Florida and elsewhere in the US.

USFastCash - Illegal tribal lender. They owe you $435
500FastCash - Illegal tribal lender. You owe them $210
Archer Direct - Illegal tribal lender. You owe them $210
Discount Advances - Illegal Canada based lender. They owe you $514.04

You need to send out the copies of the ACH revocation letter to your bank and these people fast.

Legally speaking, you owe these illegal lenders nothing, not even a cent and there is no way they can get it out of you (at least not without lying to you). On moral grounds we recommend that you repay just the principal, no interest or finance fees or any such crap.

Now once you tell them such stuff when they call, you are going to be carpet bombed by a lot of serious sounding stuff which in reality is a crock of bull.

Understand something, you are in charge now and you set the rules. If these idiots want their money, they would have to play the game as you see fit. You do not need to enter into any kind of 'payment arrangement' with them. You pay them when you wish, however much you wish, even if you want to give them a dollar a year so be it.

Whatever you do, pay ONLY using a prepaid debit card or money orders.

When you are done dealing with them, file a complaint with the FTC and the AG.

Thanks steve I am really having problems with these companies... I have sent the ACH revoke letter numerous times and I also revoked wage garnishment/assignment. I have not heard from any except Archer Direct who is sticking to their guns. They say they will not apply the $90 to the principle and I still owe them $390. I already complained to BBB, AG and FTC and I already closed my accounts. How long do you think before they respond?

When I was going through PDL issues I took things one step further when I revoked the ACH agreements. I also notified the lender's bank that I was aware there was fraud going on and that regardless of the contracts they were in violation of my state's consumer protection laws. Needless to say, that helped me when dealing with illegal lenders. Those companies were quick to respond and negotiate payment terms with me because now I put their banks on notice about the issue at hand. My bank shows the account number where the funds came from, so my letters to the banks were able to reference a specific company and their account along with a date of a desposit / withdrawl. That information coupled with the ACH revocation letter and my state's laws was usually plenty to keep the lenders at bay.
