Hi,
Thanks in advance for the help! My husband and I had a few emergencies pop up all at once and ended up coming up short on bills. To save our pride we decided to take out a payday loan online. BIG mistake. We live in Washington State. Our first loan was through USfastcash for $550, we paid it in full and probably around $1800 all together (have to double check bank statements) Paying off that loan left us broke, they offered to loan again and like dummies we did it, another $550. So far we have paid around $1200 on that one and STIlL owe! We took out another Internet pay day loan called St. Armand's for $300 to pay the usfastcash loan. St Armand's was taking $90 payments every 2 weeks until WE set up the principal payment of $300!!!!!!! I figured we were paying principal the whole time, but no. We have paid at least 8 payments of $90 and none of that was even principal. We could no longer do it and closed our bank account (well blocked it because we have a few things pending) We opened a new account and now that the loan companies no longer have access to our account, they are calling work, emailing and calling us. All in 1 day. Also, we have been getting harassing calls from someone in an Indian accent ever since we signed up for usfastcash. My question is, where do we go from here? Thank YOU on advance!!!

OH Thank You!!!! :)

It's awful to say, but I am glad that we seen the only ones out there that are having to deal with this.

It's a relief knowing for sure that they are, in fact, illegal. I totally feel like we've paid our fair share and then some and only want these scum off our backs.

I will start on all that paperwork later this evening. Did you go as far as complaining to the BBB and the state? Did you request a refund? I read somewhere that some people have had some of their money returned.

Great idea, I never thought about giving copies to HR and the bank. It would devistate us if they somehow got ahold of our new account. We still have to officially close that account but or bank is making us keep it open (just blocked) because we have a small loan with them. :/ Such a frustrating process just to keep our money!!

I have a sneaky suspision that out private information was sold overseas and i am feeling nervous about that. I sincerely appreciate the help and feel more confident moving forward with this mess. Good luck!

I know the feeling. As soon as your loan with your bank is paid off, try to open a different account. If you are unhappy with your current bank find another one.

I did not file with the BBB as these companies are not registered with them. I don't feel it would do much good.

If you feel your personal information was sold to an illegal lender, file a complaint with the FTC. I did. This will also give the FTC some power to help you if irregular occurrences happen on your credit report or if other transactions are done or credit cards/loans are taken out in your name(s). The more you do now to protect yourself, the less you have to do down the road.

If the "collectors" from overseas call again tell them that you have checked with your local court and there is nothing filed against you. Also tell them that per your local police department that there is no lawsuits against you. I did and they stopped calling. At least for now. You can also ignore these people. I would also warn any of age children, siblings and parents if alive just in case these low lives call them. Make sure your employer also knows to ignore these calls as they are part of the scam you were a victim of so your jobs are not in danger.
