Please help this company is harassing me. I recently closed my bank account since I have over paid this companyâ€¦and now I am receiving calls and they are saying that they will be contacting my HR dept. I am a resident of NJ, and my question is, can they truly contact my employer in regards to this?

My understanding is that payday loans are illegal in new jersey so this lender doesn't have much of a right to harass you because they aren't licensed in that state.

Have you done ACH revocations? Voluntary wage assignment revocations?? Given copies to your bank and payroll department? Stay off the phone and inform your employer you have been scammed. Communicate via email only.
