PDL email, this is scary!

wow, talk about new and inventive ways to steal your money...
In digging through my junk folder I found an email from one of the illegal offshore PDL companies I am currently battling with.
I had sent them a C&D and requested copies of loan docs so I was looking for an attachment. But before I could open it it triggered my anti-virus program, which immediately isolated it. According to what I found out from a friend who does comm security there is a key-stroke logger virus in the attachment!
Then on closer look at the sender it was not QUITE the name of the one I was dealing with, but very close. Trying to hide their tracks?
Apparently this nasty bug could log each action on my keyboard and transmit it to the sender of the email! That means if I log onto an online account - like with my bank - they get passwords, account names, everything! Or if I use a CC online they could get that, too.
So word to the wise, if you get an attachment from them make sure you run it through a good, up-to-date antivirus program before opening it.
Of course I am filing complaints with any and every agency who might care!
