I don't recall reading any incidents with them, but, I read hundreds of posts and it's hard to remember each one. If you type in the name of the bank into the search box located in the upper right hand corner of this forum you may come up with some threads on this subject. Now that I have bumped this up maybe others will reply, keep checking back for more replies.

I just went last week and put a freeze/deposit only on my account with Wachovia. I walked in to the branch, asked to speak to the manager, told her what was going on and VOILA I was back to work in 20 minutes! I was shocked it was so easy because at another branch the "manager" told me doing something like that was impossible... You just have to find the right person to talk to - if the first place you go won't do it, go to another location and they will. They'll also refund your o/d fees if you have any!

I want to the main office Wachovia and the manager put the debit block on to my account and also open my new account. I am now waiting on the PDLs to start contacting me. One sent a email for me to get in touch with them to settle.
