Like the writer above:I am drowning in payday loan debt. It started out small. I was short one payday, so I got a $200 loan to cover all my expenses. Next payday rolled around and I was short again, but this time I also had the payday loan roll over fee to pay, so I got another payday loan............etc., etc. etc. Now i'm in such a bad place that I have 8 payday loans who's payments all got bounced by my bank because i didn't have the money, so on top of all those debts, I also have the bank's over draft fees hanging over my head. I don't know what to do to even begin to get myself out of this mess. I am terrified of what the payday loan lenders will do, and since my paycheck is direct deposited, I also fear every sent I earn will be gone before I see one dime and I won't be able to pay my regular day-to-day expenses. I've contacted every credit counseling agency I can find and they all say the same thing...they can't help with payday loans....what do I do? where can I turn for help? My loans are internet loans

We need more information before we can plan a course of action for you, plus I am moving this to the payday loan help section, please list:

-Names of each pdl company.
-Whether they are store front or Internet.
-How much you borrowed.
-How much you paid so far.
-The state in which you reside.

I was in the same situation. First, get your direct deposit stopped as soon as possible. Open a new account somewhere and have it directed there and don't give the new account number to anyone. Go to your bank and explain the situation and have blocks put on ALL debits to your accounts. Secure your account first against any more debits. My bank allowed the direct deposit to post but blocked all the debits until I had the direct deposit directed to my new account. That's a start.

Then follow the advice Shazzers gives you after you give the info on your PDL loans.
