But I think that the installment loan is legal as it is governed by a different set of laws and don't have to follow the payday regulations of the state.

Yes, Think Cash IS legal, and not a payday lender.

Thank you. I did find out for sure by calling the financial dept of ky that payday lenders through the internet are not legal in the state of KY. They must have a store front that you can go to for the payday loan. I have secured my account from all three that i have. I will be notifying the payday lenders of this and also notifying the installment loan vendor to work out something better with them. I am trying to find the template letters for the payday lenders and having difficulty finding them.

Check the link I gave you above, "How To Deal With Illegal Lenders".
I was contacted by Integrity Advance today about my payday loan.
I was contacted by Integrity Advance today about my payday loan. They supposedly didn't get my email. I said they were not legal in ky and therefore have paid more than the principal (i borrowed $300, finance fee was $90; it was renewed 5 times at $90 and then the last payment was $140 ($90 fee and $50 toward principal). So I have paid $290 more than the principal. They said they are not licensed in ky but are in Delaware and therefore I'm still held to paying the whole payday loan and fees. Also they called my phone 3 times today and left messages and stated for me to call between certain hours Central Standard Time. Then they called me at work which is when I spoke with them. I will resend the email to them by email and snail mail. Going to file complaints online tonight with the AG of ky. Is there anything else I can do to make them understand they are illegal in ky and that the KRS states that it voids my contract?
The way is to be persistent. Keep [COLOR=#333333]reiterating.

so they can't use the fact that they are licensed in delaware as a reason to hold me to the loan then right? according to the KRS in ky, they are illegal and not regulated and therefore voids the contract that i signed.

Yup, state laws vary widely and some states require the lenders to obtain license before they can do business in that state. You can study the internet lending laws of different states here.
If the lender isn't licensed in your state then it is operating illegally and that makes you responsible only for the principal amount and not for the interest and finance charges.

Thank you. This site has been a big help. As far as Integrity Advance, I have not heard back from them since they called my work. Nor have I heard back from Magnum Cash Advance regarding paying off the principal amount.
