How in the French can an online lender report you to SCAN

Are you certain they are illegal? Anyway, yes, you definitely need to dispute it. Did you ever file complaints with the FTC, AG and BBB? I hope you did as you can use that as evidence, you can also use the original contract which should state payments will be made electronically. You will need to be persistent and provide as much detailed information as you possibly can. I have never personally dealt with this problem so I can only give you suggestions on what I would do if I were in your shoes. Keep checking back for more replies as there may be someone else who can shed some light on this subject for you.

Hi Shazzers. Thanks for the response. Yes, I am certain they are illegal as all online lending is prohibited in my state. This company has been partic. nasty with me since I began this journey. I am so frustrated. I have filed complaints regarding them but have heard nothing back. I spoke with SCAN and they said that in order to be reported it would have needed to be a live check and it wasn't- I never signed anything either. Grrrrr!

Then I would definitely dispute it, especially if there wasn't a hard copy check, also please report them to the FTC (link in my signature) for doing this to you, that is nothing less than fraud.

WOW - just when you think you have finally figured out a way to get yourself out of a mess... they come up with a new way to get you back in. Maybe by reporting it as fraud to the checksystem will finally get someone's attention.
