I have a loan with First American Credit. They advertise it as a personal line of credit or small personal loans. My question is do they have to have a license to lend in Ohio...that's where I live. It appears they are not a PDL. Also I have no contact info for them other than a phone number and fax. Anyone have any other info on them?

If its an installment loan then they are probably legal. You need to read the loan document for more information.

If its an installment loan then the lender can lend legally even without obtaining a license in the state. These lenders are backed by banks and are normally legal in their operation.

They are asking me to give them my visa check card information with the cvr code as a back up in case the financial allotment payment does not go through.
