PLEASE HELP!!! i'M Drowning In A Pool Of PDLs!!!

Over the past few months, I've taken out several PDLs due to major financial setbacks. Like everybody else, I'd thought I'd be able to take out one or two and be able too pay it/them back in no time. But, bills continued stacking up and I began falling behind. More loans were taken out. Yes, it was a very stupid mistake because I've now dug a HUGE hole which I cannot seem to get out of. It's gotten to the point to where I cannot pay any of my bills because I get hit with rolling fees which are debited from my account every payday. Most of these companies have already been paid the principal in fees alone, but continue to debit my account.

I've been on this site during the past couple of days doing research on the steps needed to resolve my issue (and there is a LOT of great advice), but I'm a little lost. It's probably because I don't know if my PDLs are legal/illegal in my state (California), exactly what steps to take in order to resolve this, which letters to send to the PDLs, etc. I've already requested a hard debit block. What's next??? Could somebody please, please, PLEASE give me some guidence??? I really wish I would have researched this before taking out these loans. Thank you for your time.
