I have a collector contacting me every other day about a payday loan I took out in 2006. I talked to the collector once on the phone. Stated that this was discharged in BK. However, he went on to talk over me, stating that I wrote a bad check, and on and on and on. I hung up on him and left it at that. Now, what I have done is logged the times and dates that they have called. WA state is a two party state so I have did not record that one conversation we had. I'm not scared because I know my rights. My BK has been discharged for over a year. I have not had one ding on my credit, since and other than the BK. What I want to do is go after these guys. I was wondering if it is worth the effort to get a lawyer? The lawyer that completed out BK passed away.

The CA would not give me the name of the original creditor. Seems that they wanted to keep it secret. They also would not give the name of their agency. I googled their phone number and it is California Recovery System?? CRSI is the acronym. Yes, I have several copies of my BK. I know I can get more copies if I need them but I do have several. I'm not worried about them coming after me. I know that in WA state they cannot jail me for a payday loan. I also know that what they are doing is illegal. Even though the person I spoke to tried to tell me that they could put me in jail. Thanks for responding.
