Still fighting with Payday Loan Yes
Date: Thu, 02/25/2010 - 07:58
I have been dealing with payday-loan-yes for almost 3 months now. I took out a $350 loan, paid back $210 before I found out they were illegal. I closed my bank account, sent all the letters and they will not give me an address so I can send a money order for the remaining $140. They leave me voicemails but I will not call them back. I have sent them numerous letters via email and fax yet they keep calling. Today I sent an email then I got a call from their collection dept saying that the loan is valid because the governing laws are where the financial institution is located. I know that's bs. I emailed her back and said I have stated this fact over and over again, all communication must be in writing via email or mail and that all I want is an address to send the $140 money order. I also asked for a copy of their license allowing them to lend in Indiana (which of course they don't have)
Has anyone gotten anywhere with these people? It's getting so annoying having to send the same letter over and over again. I filed a complaint with my Attorney General and they haven't gotten back with me yet. I also filed a complaint with the BBB. I'm just so frustrated, is there anyting else I should be doing?
Thanks.
