Just some info for anyone out there dealing with this place. I have had a signature loan with them for several months. When the payment is due there is a 5 day grace period. I have always paid by the due date or within the grace period.

This last time the payment was due I told the people at the store what day I would be in (it was within the grace period). Well when I was 1 day late (of the original due date-not the grace period or the day I said I would come in) they started calling my references and leaving 2-3 messages a day. Keep in mind they did'nt even call me or if they did they did'nt leave a message and I never knew about it. I work at the same place as always, have the same home and cell numbers, live in the same house within walking distance of the store but one day late and they are calling my references! Unbelievable!

The due date actually fell on a weekend when they were closed and Monday morning before noon they were calling my references. Fortunatly my references have been cool about it and they only called during the day while everyone was at work. I think its pretty crappy that they did'nt attempt to reach me first. I had them paid off and then an emergency came up and I went back to them. I almost think I would rather deal with an internet lender again then cash express.

Anyway just a heads up for anyone else out there who is dealing with them.

I had a check with them close to a year ago (I had actually gone to them in the first place to get money to pay off the internet loans DOH! which did'nt work of course and I ended up owing both) and tried to get an EPP and they got really rude. The manager was practically yelling at me "what do you mean you don't have any money?". They would'nt work with me at all. They said if the check was'nt paid it would be deposited the next day and if it came back I would have 24 hours to pay it and then a lawsuit would be filed, probably within a week.

All of you need to file complaints against them with the BBB, their corporate office and the CFSA, they need to have their membership revoked at the CFSA for not adhering to the guidelines. They will continue to treat their customers this way until people complain in a fashion that will get the word out. I would also send a little letter to "The Consumerist" online about the way they behave and how they threaten their customers. Also complain to your DFI, this is just wrong and someone who has experienced their treatment needs to speak out, please do.

I posted this elsewhere on the forum- but it bears repeating. I actually called CFSA myself & told them that several of their members were refusing to offer EPP's. I told her this is in KY. She said that in KY even if they are CFSA members, they "do not have to offer EPP's- due to the state law". Can somebody check this one out further. I know alot of folks might benefit from the info.
