It breaks my heart to see so many people here who have fallen into the PDL trap, but I'm glad that you all have found this site and can see light at the end of the tunnel. I know I'm forever grateful to have stumbled here.

I had 7 PDLs. To date, I only have two PDL balances outstanding. I've sent letters to and filed complaints on all. The outcome is as follows:

Ameriloan - PIF

USFastCash - PIF

500 FastCash - no response, and AG responses turned up nothing. Considering that they fall under the United Cash Loans group, I'm not sure I will hear anything.

Summit Group - no response, except for emails from collection agencies that emailed once and never again.

Kenwood Services - PIF and letter to AG stating they are ceasing lending operations.

MyCashNow - emails from their collection agency, Credit Protection Depot. My emails and faxes to CPD go answered. Haven't received emails in over a month.

1000 CashOvernight (a.k.a. International Payment Services) - addressed my AG compliant by agreeing to a money order for the remaining principal balance that I still owed, and not a cent more. Acknowledged receipt of money order and marked my account PIF (and yes, it's all documented and copy sent to my AG's office).

Knowledge is power, and it sure feels good.

I have a question, I have a loan with Ace Cash Express...that is now in collections. It was a 400 dollar loan and I have made one payment of 126.72, however I was unable to make the payment because they withdrew it on the same day my rent was withdrawn, and it over drew my account. So long story short it is now in collections. I spoke with a Mr. Simon, who informed me that he was going to go ahead "and file the papers with my employer". This is Ace Cash Express, not Ace Cash Services, and I took the loan out online not in the store.

I informed Mr Simon more then once that I was simply UNABLE to pay in full, but I would happily make a payment every week until my balance was paid. He said no, and told me good luck and that he was going to have to be forced to move forward with my account.

Then one of my co workers took the phone, and said that it was "Mrs Jones" my lawyer(she is a lawyer just not mine) and she basically ripped him a new one, and he told her he couldnt talk to her unless he had my permission, and he hung up on her, I called him back and said he could talk to her and he said he didnt want to and that he was sending the papers out and moving forward and then hung up on ME.

I have read through this forum and read that I should go to the store front to make payments? Should I do this...will they accept them...what should I do. I do NOT want my wages garnished, and "Mr. Simon" has already spoken with my boss, which I do NOT appreciate. Do I write a ceast and desist letter, do I write a validation letter, please any tips are appreciated!!

Congratulations Icon, I am about in the same place you are. I do have a question about Kenwood Services, though. When you receive the letter, what address was on the letter? I have tried to contact them myself, BBB has tried and they haven't responded either. I am completely free of my 9 PDL's and will update my situation on this board soon.

The address I have for Kenwood Services is 1209 Orange Street, Wilmington, DE 19801. They never responded to either me nor the BBB, only the DE AG.

Kaylee,

If the PDL you have is an internet lender, click on the link in my signature to find out how to deal with them.

If you borrowed from a storefront, my understanding is that you should be able to make payment arrangements if you go to the store. Another member here, Shazzers, is more knowledgeable on dealing with storefronts than me.
