Advice for everybody in PDL hell

After much soul searching (& guidance from those on this forum), I closed my bank acct. WHAT A RELIEF!! I live in KY & all internet PDL's are illegal here. I got 11 hits to my closed acct in one day - sorry about their luck.
So far I've gotten calls from 3 of several illegals-- PaydayLoan Yes, One Click Cash & Discount Advances. I said the same thing to all three - "I have closed my bank acct due to security issues. Your company is doing business ilegally in the state of KY". There was a looooong silence after that statement. I told them that I would be glad to pay them the PRINCIPAL OWED ONLY (if any) & that it would only be done via money order. I said "I will call you back to get a mailing address". None of the 3 had anything else to say after that.
Now for the advice from one who's in the trenches with everybody else here. Do NOT wait to close your acct & get these theives off your back. Life is way to short to be in the misery that all of us are experiencing. I truly feel like a large bolder has been lifted off my back. I have a bunch of storefronts too & all but 2 have agreed to work with my on pmts.
I did not even realize the extent of the pain & depression that all this was causing me until I finally made the move to end it all & take control of my life again. The thing that finally hit me between the eyes & forced me to take action, was actually sitting down & adding up the fees I was paying monthly- about $1,000. I said "that's totally insane & I will not do this anymore".
There is a quote that I heard somewhere & I am trying to live by this daily. Hope it helps you guys too.
"You can make yourself strong, or you can make yourself miserable. The amount of energy is the same".
