I am currently trying to crawl out of a payday loan cycle that I have kept up with for over a year now. I have paid off some, only to find myself being able to pay outrageous finance fees just to stay current. Almost 1,000$ every two weeks is coming out and we are going under because of it. I have read many posts on here and understand the process I need to go through but I have had trouble finding KY laws on Internet PDL's.

Magnum-400$
Pay Day One-800$
My Cash Now-900$
Instant Cash-300$
IAdvance-650$
East Side Lenders- 650$
First Bank of Delaware- 400$ (Left)

These are estimates but are close. We are planning on putting chunks of money on each one, but I don't think we will ever get enough to get rid of them. We are in a cycle that we can't get out of. Can someone point me in the right direction for KY Law info or other helpful resources? I am trying to get going on this before the 15th of March. I want to get my account closed and moved, ect ect.

I also live in KY & was dishing out $1,000 a month on fees. I finally said this is absolutely crazy & put a stop to it. As you know online PDL's are illegal in KY. I would strongly advise you to close your bank acct IMMEDIATELY. After it is closed- then send to each illegal PDL one of the letters that you can copy & tailor to fit your own needs. You can find a copy of these letters on the forum.
I have just closed my acct & emailed all my illegals. WHAT A RELIEF!!!

My storefronts are all willing to work with me with EPPs - except Cash Express & 2 more locally owned ones. I just told my storefronts that I have closed my acct due to "security issues". They will only work with you IF you default first.

Do not allow these thieves to take any more of your money. They are ALL well aware that they are illegal in KY.

Thank you for your help. I have written my letters, mailed them all certified mail and emailed them to the companies. I closed my account and placed a hard hold on it. The phone calls have started but I am asking for it all in writing. I have already received a letter from PayDay One and am in waiting with many others. I am worried about what is to come....you know, what happens now? I think I read somewhere else on here that I need to give a copy of the letter, revoking wage garnishment to my employer? What do you think. What are the next steps to follow? When these companies say, "We are coming after you if you don't pay," or "Okay, we are sending you to a debt collector" can that happen?

Little more help, please! Thanks for everything so far.

So far,so good with me. I did not give any of these idioits my home #- cell phone only. I've gotten only 1 call - to shich I promptly hung up on the guy, as he would not listen to anything I had to say.
Bottom line is - if internet PDL's are illegal in your state, they really have NO legal ground to stand on. These guys count on scare tactics to try to get your money- do not fall for it. You are in the right- NOT THEM. Best of luck- keep dong what you are doing now.
