Payday Loan help
Date: Tue, 03/30/2010 - 00:09
I have been dealing with payday loans for over a year now. Money is being taken out of my account every payday leaving me with practically nothing. I have been struggling to pay my bills and feed my 3 children. My checking account end up negative every month. I had to cancel my direct deposit in order to pay my car payment and buy food. This of course left my checking account negative $980. My dad gave me $1000 and I took it to the bank and closed my account. I was told my account is closed and will not be reopened if any more transactions are attempted. I am feeling a little relieved except I still owe these payday loan companies. All of my loans are internet. Unfortuneately I am unable to see how much I have paid because now that my checking account is closed I can not access my online statements. I know I have paid a lot more than originally borrowed on probably all of them. I live in California. What is the next step? I am prepared to send letters and make complaints if in fact these are illegal. Otherwise I will try to pay them off.
