Credit Protection Depot phone call

The person said she was representing a company for which I had obtained a PDL. I asked her WHICH company & she told me Discount Advances & the date I got the loan. Mind you I was paying these thieves every month since 02-09. I told her that internet PDL's are illegal in Ky & that the new law passed, stated that ANY internet PDL obtained PRIOR to 01-01-2010 completely removed ANY obligation for payment INCLUDING THE PRINCIPAL. She stuttered & stammered a little & then said--"So you are refusing to pay this loan?" I said you've got it!! To that she replied "OK, I'll pass the new KY laws on to management".
The whole point of the above is this: these idiots KNOW they are illegal & do NOT have a legal leg to stand on. They thrive on the fear factor of those wh do not stand their ground & just give in to them. DO NO fall into their trap. We, their victims get to hold the hammer over their heads instead of the reverse.

Hope it helps!! BTW- just got another call from CPD & I told him the same thing I told the 1st caller (see first post above). He also said "Are you telling me you are refusing to pay this loan?" I AGAIN answered "You've got it!" End of conversation.
The more I consider asking for a refund from these thieves- the more I am inclined to do so. Comes under the "nothing ventured, nothing gained" heading. Figure I don't have anything to loose. Before I do that, I am going to file a formal complaint with the KY AG's office. Maybe THAT will get their attention.
Funny how, when confronted with the truth (that they are illegal in this state), they become strangely quiet & don't even dispute what I'm saying. Hmmmmm.
