I took out a loan December 2009. I have paid $365.00 in fee's plus $50.00 in principal. At the advice of th attorney general in Oregon I stopped paying and closed my bank account. 4 weeks later Ameriloan is now calling and threatening to turn me over to a collection agency if I don't set up a payment plan. My balance now is $415. I told her that they are illegal in Oregon and she said Oregon does not know what they are talking about. IF this is turned over to a collection agency can they come after me, since Ameriloan has not license in Oregon? Same thing is happening with 500 Fast Cash which is owned by the same company

please, all of those places are illegal everywhere as they claim the "sovreign nation"immunity.that means while they can't be sued.they can't sue you either.otherwise their false immunity doesn't count in a US court.they can try to submit a wage assignment, but you can give A WAGE ASSIGNMENT REVOCATION letter to your HR,or payroll person.then when they call just hang up as you have experienced forsthand.they are liars, and a waste of time to talk to.btw how much was borrowed?if the 415.00 they took meets or exceeds the principle you owe them nothing, and they can't do anything about it.

If they call up again, don't try to argue with them, just hang up. (unless you're like me and on some days you feel like getting into a good fight, hee hee!). Seriously; even if you tell them you're working with your state attorney general and financial regulatory agency, they'll tell you the attorney general is wrong - how's that for nerve?
