I live in the state of Texas. I have taken out 10 payday loans. I recently went thru some serious financial crisis. I am receiving numerous phone calls at work and home that have been extremely harrassing. Please let me know if any of these payday loans are illegal in the state of Texas. I have both store front and online loans.

Your storefront lenders are likely legal. Hence, you owe them full in principal and interests. Regarding your online pdls, some of them can operate as CSOs as well, which would allow them to lend legally even without licenses. You may search both the pdl licensing database and the state CSO database to confirm the legal status of your lenders. Following is the link to state's CSO database.
