Courtesy call for subpenoa

I received a courtesy call from a firm who states they represent a payday loan company which is past due. I closed my accounts in 2008 due to the company was illegal in my state and they were charging me more than allowed for SC residents. When I explained that I wanted to speak with Sandpoint Capital, the "gentleman" stated that they no longer wanted to speak with me and they wanted to setup a payment plan. They wanted to do it thorough my debit card which meant they would have my banking information once again. When I tried to explain that I tried to communicate with them, he became hostile and stated that I took their money and it was fraudlent what I was doing. I stated that they were not seen as legal in my state and I have letter from the Financial Institution showing this. The person stated that the internet company did not have to follow the rules of my state because they do it over the internet or the phone. When I explained once again that I wanted to deal with Sandpoint, the man stated I had to make the deal or "Good luck in court." I don't want to have to go to court, have these people show up at my work or home, or give them my banking information. Can anyone assist me? I live in the State of SC.

In addition the person who told you that they don't have to follow the laws of your state was wrong/lying. Every lender whether internet or store front has to follow the laws of the state they're doing business in.
