I keep getting threating phone calls and they leave a message saying they need to hear from my attorney or myself. They always claim they are with US Debt Bureau. I have two outstanding payday loans and with my husband being out of job, and me getting into an accident it has been rough. What can they do to me? Thanks.

Hi,

Now that you are aware that US DEBT BUREAU is a scam do you still think that they can harm you?You can easily lodge a complaint against them at any point of time. There is no need to pay them anything right now as you are not able to.If possible, once you are out of hardship, just try to pay off the principal amount, and not the interest.Always remember that they are a scam!

wait a minute here!!!!!!!!if this a scam then why pay them period?if you mean contacting the pdl themselves then all right, but if the pdl sold the debt then too bad for them.why you ask?because a scam that threatens you,and won't give an address to send money doesn't deserve money.

If this is a legit collection agency using shady practices, I'd ask them to send me something in writing on company letterhead regarding what is owed, and to whom. Otherwise, if they call, tell them you're going to report them to the Federal Trade Commission and anyone else for misrepresenting themselves as a Federal Agency.
