So i fell into the trap! And after reading many post and doing much searching I still really don't have the answer. Here is my situation. I borrowed $250 in return for 325. (i know.. i know..) at any rate in order to pay the loan back you must call 3 days prior to the due date. I did that... twice! both times just the $75 fees were taken and they still want me to pay the the 325. every time i go to set up repayment, there is some reason that they cant set it up at the time. I live in arkansas and have been reading about "licensed pdl lenders" (this is a great site buy the way) and i know their not going to accept a money order for repayment. To compound matters i was also signed up for "freedomcs.com". Of course havent been able to reach anybody on the number they gave when they created a check on my behalf. I plan to close my account and reopen a new one at the same bank (regions), is aware of what is happening. Will this stop them? on the legitimacy of ameriloan, feel free to read some court document pertaining to lawsuits previously filed.
