Just curious, which PDL are you dealing with? Don't be ashamed, most of us here have been in your position. Read the "sticky" on this site about closing bank accounts, get into your local branch, talk to the manager, and explain the situation. I would also suggest contacting the Maryland Department of Financial Regulation (listed in State Law info for MD on this site), as they can give you some great advice and help you along. As for your PDL being from another State; the PDL will more than likely try to tell you that you're liable under the laws of Delaware, but you're not. Please keep us posted.

So, you are saying it's a store front lender? In other words, you were present in the state of Delaware when you obtained this loan?

Even if it was a store front lender, and you gave them permission to debit your account, you can STILL revoke their authorization to debit your account, all that you need to do is write up a letter that states your revoking any and all ACH authorizations, also add in that letter that you are revoking all wage assignments also, just in case. Take a dated copy to the branch manager. After you have done this, make payment arrangements with this store front lender, send them money orders via the mail.

I am dealing with ezcash, cash advance and cash net usa thru online, thank you for helping me not feel so stupid, i have an ex too that is still on my checking account and has access so I have been thinking of closing it for awhile now, he owes taxes so it could get sticky, so that is why i am thinking it is best?? I am contacting creditors thru a financial advisor(friend) and making arrangements to pay so its not as if I am trying to bulk from my mistake altogether? just scared and stressed and have alot going on personally which helped me get in this situation, i am usually my familys problem solver but instead i caused more problems for myself :( small town too so i dont really want bank people to know my situation, i am sad i know....

All online payday loans are illegal in your state, follow the guidelines given at the link I gave you above on how to deal with unlicensed lenders, since you have online payday lenders it will be neccesary to close that account. CashnetUSA is NOT a payday lender, they are a CSO, or also known as a Credit Services Organization. CSO's are not required to have a license, nor are they required to follow the payday loan laws, all they need to do is register with the secretary of state, and their fees are not regulated. I do happen to know they offer an extended payment plan, but only if you ask for it, they won't offer it.

ezcash isn't licensed, all you would be required to pay them is the principal amount you borrowed, I am unsure of "Cash Advance", I would need to know their actual name, Cash Advance doesn't sound like any online lender I am familiar with, so, they too could be a CSO, but there's only one way to know for certain, and that is to look over their original contract which you should have received via email.
