SSM Group LLC related to Midland Financial LLC?

Good morning!
I'm trying to find out if SSM Group LLC has any relation to Midland Financial LLC? I just checked my bank account and approximately 2 weeks ago SSM Group LLC deposited $200 in my bank account (without contacting me) and now suddenly I receive a weird call concerning a legal matter at work, and am told to call an 877 number with a case number to get it resolved before it goes to court. It's supposedly an ERG & Associates collecting for Midland Financial, which I did recieve a loan from a year ago (same deal, they never contacting me) and I defaulted on after paying $120. Does this sound like a scam to you?
P.S. I live in New Jersey, if that matters :)
