Scam!

Testyrday i got a call but wasnt home so they left a message with there phone number and name joseph then today actually spoke with them and the guy said i owed 900.00 dollars for a loan i took out in jan 2010 which i no i didnt get, the4 guy said we need to go to court in 2 hours with the money or a arrest warrent will be issued and i will be arrested, the guy had a thick accent and i didnt understand a word he was really saying, i asked him to send me a copy of all paperwork plus the court papares then he started saying things and making threats so i reported them to the ftc and gave the guys name and number....scam scam scam, these pathetic people will do anything for money but dont realize there doing harm to themselves


If he had a thick accent it's entirely possible his company (or at least their call bank) isn't even located in the United States. Good for you, telling them to send you copies of the paperwork and reporting them! It DOES make one wonder how much money these people make through their scams on a yearly basis, doesn't it? Sad to say, many people probably get these calls and feel very threatened even if they KNOW they didn't take out a PDL, and end up sending money anyway.

this is constantly happening to me too......(even my husband) he doesnt even have a job or chkcing acct he cant get a pdl loan)..........these people are from india or somewhere, threatening to go to court, or you can wire them money, i told them to send it on in, i'll be waiting............what they DONT know is..............here in the USA they cannot threaten like that..................and the PDL will take pymts to end the loan. DONT SEND THESE PEOPLE MONEY................THIS IS A SCAM , BEWARE OF THESE EUROPEANS.............one call was from alberta canada, they said they were in ohio ( i know area codes) and the FBI is looking for them, but cant find them. i guess cuz they are over in europe or canada

Please file a detailed complaint with the FTC and your attorney general's website!
