They can't "garnish" your wages without a court order.
They can use a "wage assignment" however. Usually, most payday lenders have you sign something that states you will allow them to attach your wages if you default on the loan, the good news is, a wage assignment is revocable at any time. All you need to do is email them a letter like the one below, make sure you date it! Then, print it out and take it to your payroll department.
Quote:

The date
Your name and address
The name and address of the creditor
Your account number with the creditor

Dear Sir or Madam,

I hereby revoke your right to use any wage assignment I may or may not have signed with you. You no longer have my permission to use this wage assignment.

Sincerely,
Your Name

no,that is an illegal threat from a bottomfeeder.they must get the garnishment order in your town, county, village,or bourough.get the wage assignment revocation letter to your HR/PAYROLL person asap.then send it to the illegal lender.just know that they can't do that.

Do as Paul says, print the letter out and take it to your payroll department!
