I think filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and your State Attorney Generals' office would be your best move at this point. I wonder if this PDL is even legal in your State, what State do you live in? Can't say for sure but if they say on the contract the fee isn't refundable I don't know what, if any, recourse you'd have for a refund. And - if it were me - I think I'd go ahead and close my checking account. It may seem like a lot of trouble but if this company has your account information and personal information, it's entirely possible they'll try to get more money from you. Or maybe even sell your information to other PDL's. (Others will be along to give you more advice)

Be glad that it is only 19.00. Some of them will take everything they can! Closing your account and absorbing the loss is probably the best idea!

Agreed with both last two posts. It is in your best interest to secure your bank accounts then deal with the aftermath later. Please speak with someone at your bank about your situation. Preferably a Bank manager. Sometimes even changing account numbers or putting ACH blocks on your accounts may not stop these companies. They have many d/b/a/ names and so forth. Best of Luck!
