So i had taken out a $300 loan with them in may and since than have been paying them $120 in interest every paycheck despite my attempts to call them and have them debit the total balance. So last week I filed a complaint with the BBB and the AG office as well as the Dept of Consumer affairs in Maine(the state I live in). I also copied all of those agencies on the complaint letter I sent to AMERILOAN. The only response I got back from AMERILOAN was from the complaint to the BBB saying the were going to look into the matter and get back to me. At first this worried me and I figured it was going to get ugly, as today was my payday and the day they always take out their $120( I had other stuff coming in and out of my account today so I could not close it yet) To my surprise they money was never taken out and when I went on the ameriloan site and logged in it showed my account was closed and considered PIF...YAY

I had been battling with them every payday, it was an awful cycle. I would call 3 days in advance and tell them to take out the full balance, they would say no problem and than instead only take out the interest. I felt completely hopeless until I found this site and followed the steps layed out by others that have succeeded in dealing with these dirtbags. So I started the complaint process about 10 days ago and this is the end result. From everything ive heard Ameriloan is one of the worst scams out their and Im sure they wanted this to go away as to try and draw as little attention to them as possible from AG,s, consumer protection agencies,a and BBB. The fact that the reply they gave me from my BBB complaint stated that they would look into it, and than the very next day my account is closed and considered PIF goes to show that they know they are scammers and want these things to go away as quietly as possible.

Ballplayersmom-I guess im not sure what you mean by the address I put for the BBB so I'll try my best to answer it. I went to the BBB website and clicked on the consumer complaint section. I put in Ameriloan as the entity I was filing the complaint against and they gave me a few choices as to the addresses they had on file. I cross referenced that to what people had posted on here as well as to the website I took the original loan with and clicked on the appropriate address. The complaint was than assigned to the BBB tulsa branch and a case manager from that branch was also assigned to my case.
